About PES Pre-University
With a strong desire and commitment to serve the cause of education as a nation building process, Dr. M.R. Doreswamy MLC, Chancellor, PES University, Chairman, PES Institutions has seeded PES in the south of Bangalore in 1972.
PES PU Program started in 1973 with a student strength of 40. It is now a 2-year programme of State syllabus under the Pre-University Board, Govt. of Karnataka, currently 1,600 students strong.

Giving back, beyond the classroom
PES students regularly pool their skills and talent to give back to the society they live in. The PES Community Service Program has adopted 12 rural government schools — improving infrastructure and upgrading teaching skills.
- Vocational training for Class X dropouts — machining, carpentry, plumbing, TV repair and other trade skills.
- National Cadet Corps, National Service Scheme, Primary Education Program and the Rural Health Program.
- An annual tree-plantation drive and a Drinking Water Scheme providing borewells and tanks to nearby villages.
